How do we grow leaders?

We invest in new and lesser-heard voices by teaching facilitation, listening, and radical kindness. Leaders commit to hosting one session a month for six months—enough time to learn, without burning out.

We train them slowly on their own timeline.

New leaders start with our discussion leader eCourse, monthly role-plays, and feedback from experienced hosts.

We give them a buddy from day one.

Every leader has a co-host as well as a more experienced leader buddy for support, and debriefs.

We keep the commitment low

Leaders volunteer about 3–5 hours a month to plan, host, and reflect on their sessions.

The Sensemakers Club with Information Architect Abby Covert

Are you a curious, kind sensemaker looking to lead?

We’re looking for people who want to keep growing as facilitators, communicators, and collaborators. You don’t need formal training, just a genuine interest in helping others feel seen, heard, and inspired.

Great discussion leaders model what it means to stay open and thoughtful in conversation. They listen deeply, welcome differences, and help threads of thought connect into insight.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Facilitate meaningful, balanced dialogue among diverse thinkers
  • Build psychological safety in group spaces
  • Strengthen your own sensemaking and listening skills
  • Practice connecting ideas across perspectives and experiences
